Old Mine Road becomes Mike Thomas Way

The U.S. Postal Service was expected to process address changes for Old Mine Road to Mike Thomas Way on April 9, the borough announced.

Plum Council in October approved changing Old Mine Road to Mike Thomas Way in honor of the former borough manager, who was among the six victims of the Aug. 12 house explosion in the Rustic Ridge neighborhood. Street signs with the new name were in place as of April 1.

Facilities with new addresses include the borough, 2000 Mike Thomas Way; the Plum Department of Public Works, 2001 Mike Thomas Way; Lisa Lagnese, tax collector, 2000 Mike Thomas Way; Renton Volunteer Fire Department, 1996 Mike Thomas Way; and Plum EMS, 1990 Mike Thomas Way.
