Kerr Memorial Museum tours
Halloween Tours are scheduled for Oct. 20, 21 and 27 at the Kerr Memorial Museum, 402 Delaware Ave., Oakmont. Tour the museum and learn how Halloween was celebrated in the Victorian Era.

Trunk-or-treat event
Oakmont United Methodist Church will host a trunk-or-treat event from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22 at 419 Maryland Ave.
Hear ghost stories
Campfire Ghost Stories will be featured at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Boyce Park Four Seasons Activity Center.
Wear a costume for a chance to win a prize. Bring a chair or blanket.
The event is sponsored by the Allegheny County Parks Department.
Homecoming events at Plum
Plum High School’s Homecoming bonfire is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12 at 900 Elicker Road.
The event precedes the following night’s football game vs. Penn-Trafford, and the Homecoming dance is at 7 p.m. Oct. 14.
Peace of Mind Workshop
Burket-Truby Funeral Home will host a Peace of Mind Workshop at 10 a.m. Nov. 9, open to anyone who is interested.
Topics include five steps to funeral planning, estate planning, preplanning and prefunding, and emotional and financial benefits of planning funerals in advance.
