Plum area coronavirus numbers among highest in eastern suburbs

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the Plum area’s numbers remain among the highest in the eastern suburbs.

As of Dec. 8, there have been 828 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Plum since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. Eight deaths have been reported, and 5,343 tests have been administered to Plum residents.

Plum’s case rate is 305 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, Oakmont has had 238 cases. No deaths have been reported, and 2,899 Oakmont residents have had tests administered.
