Plum EMS will begin soliciting for annual subscriptions in February.

Subscriptions cost $15 for an individual, $25 for a household and $40 for a business. They run from March 1 until the end of February 2025.

Subscribers receive two free CPR/AED classes valued at $80; up to 50% discount on unpaid balances; six complimentary lift assists valued at $450; and discounted rates for wheelchair van services.

Plum EMS has served Plum residents for more than 30 years. It responds to more than 3,000 emergencies and transports close to 2,000 patients to hospitals each year.

It also provides free car seat safety inspections and installations, free car seats to families in need, and distributes free cribs to families in need.

It offers a free annual flu vaccine clinic and in 2020 was the first EMS agency in the state to provide free covid-19 vaccines to homebound Plum residents.

“Our success as an organization would not be possible without the support of our resident subscribers year after year,” said Joe Festa, director of administration of Plum EMS.

“As a vital resource serving the community of Plum, subscription plans help to ensure responses from highly qualified medical personnel for a successful and sustainable operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

Residents will receive subscription letters. To buy a subscription, residents can also visit the Plum EMS website, plumems.com, select the “subscribe” tab at the top of the page and choose residential or commercial subscription.
