‘Pack the Rink’ food drive
Plum Hockey is holding a “Pack the Rink” food drive, collecting canned goods and other nonperishable items for the Plum Food Pantry.
The drop-off location is at Pittsburgh Ice Arena, 700 Craigdell Road, New Kensington. A collection box is in the lobby.
The drive will continue through Nov. 21, when Plum will play Westmont Hilltop High School in an 8 p.m. game.
‘World Gone Mad!’
John McIntire’s “Dangerously Live” comedy talk show’s ‘World Gone Mad!’ is scheduled for 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Oaks Theater, 310 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont.
Doors open at 2:30.
Featured will be a post-election analysis, with standup comedy plus discussion with panelists Bethany Hallam, Allegheny County councilwoman; Mike Veon, former Pennsylvania House minority whip; and comedian David Kaye.
Tickets are $20 at www.theoakstheater.com.
Holiday craft show
The Penn Hills Holiday Craft Show will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at Linton Middle School, More than 100 vendors will be on hand selling a variety of handmade items.
Lunch with Santa
Head to Rolling Hills Church in Penn Hills on Dec. 3 for a pizza lunch with Santa.
Two time slots are available, 11 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Admission is free, but registration is required by calling 412-798-2147.
Toy drive in progress
Lower Valley Athletic Foundation Christmas Toy Drive runs through the first week of December.
Donation boxes are at Inner Groove Brewing and the Verona Borough Building, both along East Railroad Avenue. Organizers are looking for new, unopened toys for children of all ages.
Toy distribution is expected a week before Christmas. The foundation will reach out to local schools and churches to find families in need.
