The students at Holiday Park Elementary invited family members who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military to a special recognition program on Veterans Day. Presented by the Student Government, the program, now in it’s second year, included recognition of all veterans present, performances by the orchestra and chorus and photos taken with each student and their special guest. Student Government officers taking part in the program included Ryan Muretisch, Braden Kemmerrer, Naomi Casey and Cameran Poole. Find more photos on Page 12.

Kenley Babilon, fifth grade, with her grandfather, Bob Babilon, a Vietnam veteran who served for four years with the ASA (Army Security Agency) from 1964-1968.

Clark Kemmerrer, a U.S. Navy veteran, shares photos with grandson, Braden Kennerrer. Kemmerrer served aboard the attack carrier USS Bon Homme Richard. Braden is sixth-grade president of the Student Government.
