Police: 15-year-old boy charged in August shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood West neighborhood

A 15-year-old Pittsburgh boy was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal’s Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and the city’s Bureau of Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit on Friday.
Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said the boy, whose name has not been released, was wanted in connection with a shooting around 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 28 along the 800 block of North Murtland Street in Pittsburgh’s Homewood West neighborhood.
Officers responded to ShotSpotter alerts for multiple shots fired in that area and found a man shot in the upper leg. He was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
The boy is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, criminal attempt, recklessly endangering another person and various firearm violations, Matthews reported.
