Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was shot three times late Sunday in the city’s Homewood section.

The victim was taken by private vehicle to a hospital and was in stable condition, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 7400 block of Monticello Street.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert after 15 rounds were fired in the area, Cruz said.

At the same time, the victim showed up at a local hospital, having suffered two shots to the arm and one to the leg, police said.
