Police: Man in stable condition after Carrick shooting

A man is in stable condition after police say he was shot in his backside in Carrick Tuesday night.

Pittsburgh police and EMS responded to a report of a male shot in the 1600 block of Brownsville Road around 10:45 p.m. where they found the victim who was conscious and alert, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokesman Maurice Matthews. The victim was transported to the hospital.

The scene was processed by the Mobile Crime Unit. The investigation is ongoing.
