Pittsburgh police said a Pittsburgh man was pronounced dead late Sunday after being shot twice and then allegedly struck by a vehicle in the city’s East End.

First responders were called to the 6900 block of Wiltsie Street in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood around 10:30 Sunday night, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials.

They found Stanley Howe Jr., 24, of Pittsburgh lying in the street with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg. Police said witnesses told them Howe was also struck by a vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither police nor the coroner’s office have released the man’s identity as of early Monday morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
