A property tax/rent rebate clinic is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 9 at the Bethel Park Public Library, 5100 W. Library Ave.
The clinic is conducted by the office of state Sen. Devlin Robinson, R-Bridgeville. It is open to residents of Bethel Park and other communities in Robinson’s 37th District who would like assistance with their rebate application.
The Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is open to Pennsylvania residents ages 65 and older, widows or widowers ages 50 and over, or anyone 18 and older who is 100% disabled.
Income limits are $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 a year for renters. Please note that only half of an individual’s Social Security is included in the limit calculations.
March 9 attendees will need to bring the following documents with them to the event:
• Total Social Security/railroad retirement
• Proof of Supplemental Security Income or disability
• Proof of age for first-time filers (driver’s license or photo identification)
• 1099 pension, interest and dividend statements
• Proof of W-2 or other income if received
• Voided check showing routing and account number if you wish to have payment received by direct deposit
• For property owners, proof of taxes paid either stamped or signed by the tax collector
• For renters, rent certificate filled out and signed by your landlord
