Two people were pronounced dead early Saturday morning at the scene of a one-car crash in Redstone Township, Fayette County.
Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip Reilly identified the victims as Miranda Huseman, 27, and Daniel August Guthrie, 32. Specific addresses for the deceased were not available Saturday, but Reilly said both victims were Fayette County residents.
Guthrie died of blunt force injuries after Huseman apparently lost control of her small compact car at about 2 a.m. and crashed into a tree while traveling along Filbert-Orient Road.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Reilly said it appeared speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Redstone Township Police are investigating. They could not be reached for comment Saturday.
