A Beaver County man this week pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing a Cranberry bank over the summer.

Michael Ryan Neppach, 40, of Patterson, pleaded guilty to a charge of bank robbery, prosecutors said.

Authorities said shortly after 4:45 p.m. Aug. 28, Neppach went to the PNC Bank at 20940 Route 19, and displayed a note to the teller indicating he had a weapon. He made off with $1,400. No one was injured.

Neppach’s sentencing has been set for April 15. He faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both.
