If it seemed a bit balmy for late April, it was, especially if you were in Dubois, where a new record high temperature of 83 degrees was recorded Sunday.
The old record was 79 in 1990, said David Shallenberger, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Moon.
In the Pittsburgh area, the high Sunday reached 84 degrees, well short of the 90-degree record set in 1925, but still almost 20 degrees above normal, he said.
The warm weather will continue on Monday with the thermometer reaching 80 degrees, Shallenberger said.
But, come Monday evening, showers and possibly strong thunderstorms move in.

A cold front will bring cooler temperatures and a few more showers on Tuesday with a high temperature of 58 degrees, he said.
The cold snap will continue on Wednesday with a high of 48 degrees and a low of 37.
Thursday morning will bring a shiver with lows forecast between 20 and 31 degrees, he said.
