Western Pennsylvanians should expect to snuggle up, as freezing temperatures and snow don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, temperatures dropped to as low as 0 degrees in Clarion County on Monday morning. Readings in Pittsburgh lingered around 10 degrees, the weather service said. It was 7 degrees this morning in Cranberry, Butler County.

Temperatures in the Pittsburgh area will reach highs in the lower 20s Monday and snow is likely Monday night, the weather service said. Skies will be partly cloudy early in the day, then will become partly sunny.

There’s a 70% chance of show Monday night, with accumulations of “around an inch” of snow predicted.

We have yet another round of snowfall expected for the area tomorrow and Tuesday. This time, with the low passing to our southeast, snow will move in from the south and highest totals will be for southern areas of the region. pic.twitter.com/3nDhzYiII2

The clouds will linger Tuesday and there’s a chance of snow — with little to no accumulations — in the morning. The temperature will remain steady around 17 degrees.
