‘Knight Rider’ tractor, trailer reunited in Butler County

The trailer used in the 1980s television series “Knight Rider” has been reunited with the 1984 GMC General tractor used in the show’s third and fourth seasons at Joe Huth’s home in Butler County. Believed lost, the trailer was found in January 2022 being used for storage near Phoenix.

Joe Huth of Butler County plans to restore a tractor and trailer used in the television series “Knight Rider” to how they appeared in the show. Huth is part of Knight Rider Historians and is seeking donations of money, materials, equipment, supplies and skills for the restoration job.

Joe Huth, of Clay Township in Butler County, owns this screen-used KITT that was used in the final two seasons of the television series ‘Knight Rider.’ The modified 1984 Pontiac Firebird is one of only five cars surviving from the show, as the rest were destroyed either during or after the series ended.
