A 24-year-old man has died after a shooting in Aliquippa, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner said Wednesday.

Gevod Tyson, who is listed only as living outside Allegheny County, died at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday at an area hospital, the medical examiner said.

TribLive news partner WTAE had reported that one person was shot in the 1100 block of Wade Street in Aliquippa around 9 p.m.

A WTAE reporter was at the crime scene, where police tape could be seen in the middle of the road. It is unclear what led to the shooting or if anyone else was injured.

Pennsylvania State Police, whose troopers in Beaver County are investigating Tyson’s death, did not respond to a phone call or email Wednesday seeking comment.

Police in Aliquippa also did not respond to a phone call or email.
