Man wanted for W.Va. murder, Western Pa. attempted homicide in custody

Brian Edward Lyons II is wanted for first degree murder and attempted homicide in Marion County, W.Va. and in connection to an attempted homicide in Washington County

A man who police said was “armed and dangerous” and wanted in connection with a murder in West Virginia and is facing charges in Washington County is in custody, officials said.

Brian Edward Lyons II faces first-degree murder and attempted homicide charges in Marion County, W.Va., and in connection to an attempted homicide in Washington County, according to the Greene County Regional Police Department.

Officials said Lyons stole a vehicle belonging to the deceased person in Marion County and abandoned it in Somerset County.

He was wanted by the Monongahela Police Department, state police in Uniontown, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals.

Troopers pursuing Lyons also arrested a Washington County woman, Amber L. Gray, 36, for hindering apprehension of a wanted person. She was ordered held in the Westmoreland County Prison on Tuesday after failing to post $5,000 bail set by North Huntingdon District Judge Wayne Gongaware.

Trooper James Garlick said in court documents that police searching for Lyons at 7:10 p.m. Monday in Rostraver saw Gray walk from a GetGo station located along Route 51 to a Budget Inn nearby where she allegedly met with Lyons.
