No injuries in Elizabeth fire
No injuries were reported in an overnight fire in Elizabeth, emergency officials said.
First responders were called to the 200 block of Ross Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. for a house fire. An Allegheny County 911 supervisor said no one was injured.
Blaine Hill Deputy Fire Chief Mercedes Boyce said three dogs were rescued from the building. No one was home at the time of the fire, she said.
Driver pinned by steel beam
A tractor-trailer driver in Beaver County was taken to the hospital after a crash left them briefly pinned by one of the steel beams being hauled.
TribLive news partner WTAE reported the crash happened shortly before noon on Saturday, according to county emergency dispatchers.
Route 65 southbound in Conway was temporarily closed as first responders freed the driver, whose condition was unknown.
1 in serious condition after stabbing
A man was in serious condition following a stabbing in Pittsburgh’s Bluff neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Police.
Police were called to the intersection of Jumonville Street and Fifth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, where police found a man with a stab wound to the leg. The man was alert and spoke with officers before being taken to a local hospital.
