Woman attacked during robbery of Overbrook business

A woman was assaulted during an apparent business robbery along Library Road, Pittsburgh police said.

Just before 7:50 p.m. Monday, a woman said she had been attacked and pistol-whipped while working inside Sky Spa at 2544 Library Road.

The woman had visible injuries to her head. She was in stable condition when taken to a hospital, police said.

According to police, the woman told officers she was letting a customer out when two men wearing masks pushed their way inside the business. She said she saw one firearm before she was hit in the head.

Three customers and four employees were inside the business at the time, but were on a different floor and did not see the attack, police said.

It was not known what, if anything, was taken. Suspects were gone by the time officers arrived at the business.

Police were continuing to investigate.
