Myasthenia Gravis Association plans benefit golf outing on Sept. 24

Golfers can enjoy their sport and play for a good cause at the Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA’s annual MGA Golf Outing on Sept. 24 at the Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Richland.

Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit the organization’s free patient support services to people affected by myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disorder causing extreme muscle weakness with no known cause or cure.

Registration/check-in at the club at 6065 Rittman Road, starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Those attending the event will be able to enjoy a grilled lunch during registration and a buffet dinner.

The outing will feature several different activities, including a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest, as well as other on-course events. A drawing, a basket raffle, and a silent auction with prizes are part of the event.

Registration is $125 per golfer and $500 for a foursome.Tickets for a “dinner only” option are $30 per person.
