National Weather Service monitoring chance of severe weather

The National Weather Service is monitoring the chance for severe weather Friday night into Saturday.
After a couple cool, dry days, temperatures and humidity levels are expected to begin rising Friday, meteorologist Mike Kennedy said.
Showers and storms could be seen Friday afternoon, but the most severe weather will be possible in the evening and overnight hours, he said.
Damaging wind will be the main threat, but large hail and isolated tornadoes can’t be ruled out, Kennedy said.

Isolated flooding from heavy rain will also be possible Friday night.
Saturday could see a repeat of the same weather.
“Right now there is still more uncertainty than I’d like in the forecast,” he said. “The potential will be there.”
After a break on Sunday, there will be more potential for strong to severe storms Monday afternoon, Kennedy said.
