The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will hold its second free fishing day of the year Saturday when anyone can fish legally on waterways in the state without a license. However, they must still obey state fishing regulations.

The commission offers these days on holiday weekends when many people are outdoors near waterways. The first free fishing day on the year was held May 24 on Memorial Day weekend.

Don’t have a rod and reel? The state offers a loaner program with rods and reels. Many of the sites are in state parks, which are a popular place for visitors on summer holiday weekends.
