An Ohio student will graduate 115 pounds lighter than when he started high school.

Michael Watson, 18, of Canton decided two years ago to do something about his weight. He was 6 foot, 4 inches tall and tipped the scale at 335 pounds, reports CNN.

“My self-confidence was zero,” Watson told CNN.

He committed to some lifestyle changes that included eating healthier and walking to and from McKinley High School every day, according to a Facebook post by Canton City School District.

Watson hoofed it to school, about 20 minutes, no matter the weather.

He will graduate later this month and the school is using his story to inspire others through a “McKinley Senior Limelight” feature on Facebook.

“It’s an example of courageous personal development that’s rare for a high school student,” school adviser Terrance Jones told CNN.

“Anybody can do it if they put their mind to it,” Watson told CNN.
