A Pittsburgh man faces charges after state police said he led troopers on a chase in Kittanning early Sunday.

Troopers tried to pull over a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Ledonne, 42, around 1:30 a.m., but he refused to stop, police said.

During the pursuit, police said Ledonne slammed on his brakes multiple times to strike the police cruiser.

Ledonne then stopped his vehicle and ran, but troopers followed him and used a Taser on him before taking him into custody, police said.

Ledonne, who had outstanding warrants, was arrested and placed on a $75,000 bond.

He was treated at Armstrong Center for Medicine & Health after the incident for prior methamphetamine use, police say.

According to court documents, Ledonne previously faced felony charges for endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and theft.
