Power outages reported across Pittsburgh region

Duquesne Light and West Penn Power were both reporting power outages in the Pittsburgh area early Monday morning.

As of 6 a.m., Duquesne Light had about 350 outages. Most were in Churchill, 106; Hampton, 97; and Ross, 68.

By 10:30, outages were down to about 170, while still focused with most — 106 — in Churchill.

It was not known when service would be restored.

West Penn Power was reporting nearly 900 customers without power. The majority, 651, were in Washington County, where the utility was expecting power to be restored by 6 p.m.

West Penn Power was reporting 15 outages in Allegheny County; 14 in Armstrong County; nine in Butler County; 139 in Fayette County; and 57 in Westmoreland County.

By 10:30 a.m., West Penn Power was down to about 475 in the same area, with most, nearly 400, in Washington County.
