If you order Primanti Bros. to go Thursday, the restaurant chain will throw in a free beer — and bring it to your car.

The company turned its bartenders to “cartenders” as restaurants shut down in-house dining during the coronavirus pandemic.

“As we were going through this crisis, we tried to think about what fun things we can do for our fans, to give them a break from the monotony that’s going on,” company spokesman Adam Golomb said.

Anyone over the age of 21 who orders Primanti’s by phone or online and picks it up at the restaurant Thursday is eligible for one free, unopened 12-oz beer. Customers can choose between Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, IC Light, Iron City, Michelob Ultra, Miller Lite or Yuengling.

Customers can pick up their food and beer inside the restaurant, but are encouraged instead to call the restaurant when they arrive for curbside service.

The promotion does not apply to delivery orders, and is limited to one beer per customer.

Primanti’s did the first free beer promotion in the company’s history last month, giving away about 5,000 brews for Leap Day.

“It went great, we got lots of positive feedback from our fans,” Golomb said.
