The Washington County Coroner has identified the 15-year-old boy killed in a crash on I-70 Thursday night.

Robert Gracey, of Wheeling, W. Va., was a passenger in a vehicle travelling west in North Franklin Township around 11:30 p.m.

The vehicle hit a tractor-trailer, lost control and flipped over, according to the Washington County Coroner’s Office.

Gracey was thrown from the car and killed. It is unknown whether he was wearing a seatbelt.

The car’s driver was seriously injured, Tribune-Review news partner WPXI reported. His condition is unknown.

State police are investigating.

The crash caused a stretch I-70 westbound to close overnight. It reopened early Friday morning.
