The ramp coming off the turnpike at the Cranberry interchange will be closed next week due to road paving repairs.

The westbound off-ramp, which leads onto I-79, will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Friday, according to turnpike spokesperson Rosanne Placey. Traffic will be directed onto Route 19.

From there, northbound motorists will travel to Route 228 East and exit onto I-79 North. Southbound motorists will connect to the I-79 South exit.

The southbound detour should only add five minutes of travel time, Placey said, but the northbound detour could take up to 15 minutes depending on traffic signals on the route.

Turnpike and local travelers should anticipate higher levels of traffic during the repairs, Placey said.
