Pittsburgh will experience unseasonably warm temperatures in the next few days, reaching the mid-60s Thursday.
A warm front is approaching from the Southwest, National Weather Service meteorologist Lee Hendricks said, pumping warm, moist air into the region.

The downside: the front will also bring rain.
Between Thursday and 8 a.m. Saturday, the region is expected to receive about 1.25 inches of rain.
“Be alert that with some of this heavy rain coming in, storm drains this time of year tend to be partially clogged,” Hendricks said. “There could be an excess of water on the roads.”
Normal highs for this time of year run in the mid-50s. The high a year ago Thursday was 46 degrees.
The sky will clear during the day Monday and Tuesday of next week, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s.
