A pickup truck driven by Leandre Latima Woods, of Washington was going the wrong way when it hit Vith’s car, according to a state police report. Both vehicles were badly damaged.

Woods fled the scene on foot but later turned himself in to state police in Washington, police said.

According to court documents, Woods is facing several charges including homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, accidents involving death or personal injury, careless and reckless driving, accidents involving death or injury while not licensed and DUI/unsafe driving.

He was arraigned before District Judge Kelly Stewart and was denied bond. Woods is being held at the Washington County Prison.
