St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

Pancakes to Go: On Shrove Tuesday, March 1, the church will serve Pancakes to Go from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal consists of pancakes, sausage and doughnuts and is $6. Place your order ahead at 412-741-8484 or stpaulssew@verizon.net.

Ashes to Go: Pastor Ryan Kobert from St. Paul’s will be at Wolcott Park (corner of Beaver and Broad streets) during rush hour the morning of Ash Wednesday, March 2. He will offer a brief liturgy and ashes to passers-by.

Wednesday Soup to Go: We will offer takeout soup meals on selected Wednesdays in Lent. The first one is soup and halushki on March 9, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6.

Six-week Wednesday Evening Bible Study: We will hold a special mid-week series at 7 p.m., beginning March 9 and continuing through Lent.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sewickley United Methodist Church, and St. Matthews AME Church will join together for ecumenical Sunday evening worship in Lent.

The services will follow the Seven Words From the Cross. They will be held at 6 p.m. as follows:

March 2, 20 and April 10 at St. Matthews

March 6, 27 at St. Paul’s

March 13, April 3 at SUMC

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church

Open to the public and a Friday tradition since 1976, lunch is open to guests from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Christy House, located on the corner of Frederick and Walnut Streets in Sewickley.

The Christy House has two unique stores, the Needles Eye (new) and Earthly Treasures (gently used), where special gift items and collectibles can be purchased. Lunch reservations made online must be made by Thursday at 9 a.m.

If reserving on Friday, please call the Christy House at 412-741-5960. The suggested donation for lunch is $15 for adults and $5 for children. All proceeds are a gift to various ministries and missions, particularly those involving the needs of women and children.

St. Stephen’s is located at 405 Frederick Ave.
