Antioch Baptist Church

Beth Samuel Jewish Center meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom for Morning Shabbat services. First Friday Family Services take place at 5:45 p.m. on the first Friday of the month during the school year, accompanied by a congregational potluck. Kabbalat Shabbat services are held the third Friday of every month during the school year on Zoom.

A Women’s Summer Bible Study will take place every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. It is free and there is no homework. Bring a bible, notebook and pen.
Urban Impact presents “Godspell!” Aug. 4-5 and 10-12 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. The Broadway musical is a fun retelling of the book of Matthew from the New Testament written by John-Michael Tebelak with music by Stephen Schwartz. Watch as a group of ordinary people meet Jesus and learn what it means to follow him and let their light shine. The show will feature a variety of performing arts students, including live music from the Urban Impact Jazz Band.
Grace Anglican Church

Sunday Worship is at 10:15 a.m. each week. A traditional service of Holy Communion followed by a time of food and fellowship in the Parish Hall.
Morning prayer is 7 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. A short service of scripture and prayer to begin the day.
North Way Sewickley Valley

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-registration.
Sewickley Presbyterian Church

Summer Worship is 10 a.m. every Sunday in the sanctuary.
The church will collect donations for its annual Day on the Lawn rummage sale on Aug. 5, 19 and Sept. 2 from 9 a.m.-noon. Visit the website for a list of donation guidelines.

Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.
Changemakers Lab Community Vacation Bible School is hosted by St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran and Sewickley United Methodist churches. It will take place 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 7-10 at Sewickley UMC. It is free for anyone from any community and will involve children in preschool though middle school. St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays, and 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also live-streamed on YouTube. Nursery coverage is available for children at the 10 a.m. service.
The Justice Ministry is gathering school supplies to fill 25 backpacks for students in two Pittsburgh elementary schools. Among the supplies needed are pencils, notebooks, washable markers, glue sticks, crayons, pencil cases and folders. Donations may be dropped off at the church in the next several weeks.
A drumming circle will be held at the church Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Matt Price will provide the drums and lead the drumming, which requires no musical knowledge. Community drumming circles are lively, relaxing and fun and provide a memorable experience. Admission is $15.
Popular local vocalist Keely Singer will present “A Blast from the Past,” a live concert showcasing tunes from the ’60s and ’70s, at 7 p.m. Sept. 7. Tickets are $15 and include light appetizers and refreshments. Wine and other foods will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Book Club will resume its monthly meetings on Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. and discuss “An Immense World” by Pulitzer Prize-winning science journalist Ed Yong.
The Fiber Crafting Club meets 6-8 p.m. on the first Friday and third Wednesday of every month for anyone who likes to knit, crochet, embroider or enjoy other handheld fiber arts.

St. Matthew’s AME Zion Church

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday service is at 10:30, led by Pastor William B. Rankin.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

Bible Study is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the Edgeworth Eat’n Park.
St. Paul’s also hosts the Kids’ Community Closet. The free-cycle space serves children ages infant to youth by providing gently used clothing, coats/jackets, and shoes to the community for free. Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. There are no applications, income guidelines, or donations required to “shop” at the Kids’ Closet. Using the courtyard entrance to St. Paul’s, community members are welcome to stop by the second floor to donate, shop, or volunteer on Saturdays this summer. The Kids’ Community Closet is only able to accept children’s clothing and shoes. We are not able to accept toys, baby gear, bedding/blankets, athletic equipment, etc.
