Antioch Baptist Church

Sunday school is every first Sunday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
Morning worship and praise service is weekly at 10:45 a.m.
Virtual Bible study is every first Wednesday at 7 p.m. The link is on the church’s website.
Beth Samuel Jewish Center

Beth Samuel Jewish Center offers weekly Shabbat services, family services once a month, and Kabbalat Shabbat services online once per month. There is also Religious School every Sunday.
First Friday: Family Service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by an Oneg in the social hall.
Shabbat Morning Services: Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a Kiddush in the social hall.
Kabbalat Shabbat Services: Usually on the third Friday of the month, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Contact the office for the link. This get-together frequently includes a visiting musician, cantor, rabbi or other noteworthy guest.

A Christmas Eve communion service will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 20, as well as 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 24. Childcare is available for infants through preschool-aged children.
The Christmas Day communion service will be a traditional service at 10 a.m. Dec. 25. No childcare or kids’ programming is available.
A traditional Sunday service will take place at 9 a.m. Dec. 31. A modern service will be held at 11:15 a.m. A kids’ pajama party will ring in the new year — wear your favorite pajamas.
Sunday Services are 9 a.m. (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (modern).

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-registration.

Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.
St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays, and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also livestreamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members actively participate in various aspects of the liturgy.
This year’s Christmas Pageant will take place Dec. 17 at the 10 a.m. service. All children and teens are invited to participate. Rehearsal and costume fittings are set for Dec. 16 between 10 a.m. and noon.
Brendan’s Boots, the parish walking group, will take a downtown walk through Pittsburgh’s Christmas decorations on Dec. 18. Participants will meet at the church at 9 a.m. and explore the life-size Italian crèche at the U.S. Steel Tower, the lobby of the Omni William Penn Hotel, the gingerbread house display in the City-County Building, the skating rink and Santas Around the World display at PPG Place and the Holiday Market in Market Square. Lunch will follow at a nearby restaurant.
On Dec. 24, the Fourth Sunday of Advent will be celebrated with a service at 9 a.m. only. The Christmas Eve service will occur at 7 p.m. There will be no service on Christmas Day.
The Modern Episcopalians group, which explores the history, faith and worship of the church, meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The group is reading and discussing the book “Welcome to the Episcopal Church” by Christopher L. Webber.
Conversation classes for English as a Second Language adults are underway. Two levels are being offered via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. New students are invited to participate and new volunteers are always welcome, no experience necessary.
Morning Prayer is offered at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, via Zoom. Bible Study is held at 11 a.m. Tuesdays via Zoom. Contact the office for links.

For those who need a little extra support this holiday season, you are invited to the Longest Night Service on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. This candlelit service gives space to remember those we’ve lost.
Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 and 8 p.m. in the sanctuary. Both will include candlelight and the 8 p.m. service will observe the Lord’s Supper.
