St. Stephen’s Anglican Church
• First Friday at St. Stephen’s is a monthly event for everyone – all ages are welcome and different activities take place each month from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Join us Dec. 3 for First Friday: Sewickley Light up Night. St. Stephen’s will be participating in this special annual community event by offering free hot cocoa and Saint Nicholas will be giving away chocolate gold coins in the Henning House located next to the church on Broad Street. Check out the new Henning Café while you are there, too. And don’t miss out on the opportunity to cast your vote in the Tour de Lights Competition. This friendly competition will determine the favorite Christmas decorations between the Henning House, the Christy House (corner of Frederick and Walnut) and St. Stephen’s Churchyard.
• Christy House Lunch & Tea Room is open to the public and a Friday tradition since 1976. Guests are invited to enjoy lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Christy House (circa 1862) located on the corner of Frederick and Walnut Streets in Sewickley. The Christy House has two unique stores, the Needles Eye (new) and Earthly Treasures (gently used), where special gift items and collectibles can be purchased. Lunch reservations made online must be made by Thursday at 9 a.m. If reserving on Friday, please call the Christy House at 412-741-5960.
The suggested donation for lunch is $15 for adults and $5 for children. All proceeds are a gift to various ministries and missions particularly those involving the needs of women and children. The church is located at 405 Frederick Ave. in Sewickley.
