Beth Samuel Jewish Center

Beth Samuel Jewish Center holds Shabbat Morning Services every Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom.

Upcoming events include:

Oct. 7: First Friday Family Services, 7 p.m. Level 3 Religious School students will lead. We’ll also acknowledge the upcoming festival of Sukkot and Simchat Torah with special songs and stories. Oneg to follow.

Oct. 8: Shabbat morning services with Kiddush to follow.

Oct. 9: Sukkot pancake breakfast and sukkah decorating, 10 a.m.-noon.

Oct. 15: Torah Yoga (Zoom), 8:45 a.m. Contact our office for the free link. Shabbat morning services, with yizkor, 10 a.m. Kiddush to follow.

Oct. 23: Religious School in class, music with Cantor Rena, 9 a.m.-noon.

Oct. 26: Anti-Zionism from A to Z (Zoom), 7 to 8 p.m. Presentation organized by the Western Pennsylvania Small (Jewish) Congregations.

Christ Church at Grove Farm

Sunday services are at 9 a.m. (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (modern).

Fairmount Presbyterian Church

Fairmount Presbyterian Church offers Sunday School at 9 a.m. on Sundays. Worship service takes place on Sundays at 10 a.m. Wednesday prayer is offered at 6:30 p.m.

Sewickley Presbyterian Church

Sunday services are at 8 a.m. (traditional with communion each week), 9 a.m. contemporary and 11 a.m. traditional. Christian education hour is at 10 a.m.

Club 345, an after-school club for kids in grades 3, 4, and 5, is held every Wednesday from 3:45 – 5:15 p.m. at the Faith House. Kids play games, eat a snack, and take part in a fun mission project. All kids are welcome to attend.

St. Matthews AME Zion Church

St. Matthews AME Zion Church holds Sunday services each week at 9:30 a.m., led by pastor William B. Rankin. All are welcome.

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church

On Wednesdays this fall, from 7-8:30 p.m., the church offers various Midweek Community options that focus on the essentials of life in Christ and pertinent interests we face in our daily lives. Sewickley United Methodist Church

The church will host an Oktoberfest Fall Dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the social hall. Dine in or takeout. For $12, get a choice of sandwich (pulled pork or kielbasa with kraut), choice of two sides (pierogies, haluski, baked beans, mac and cheese), and dessert. Beverages included for dining in. Children ages 4-9 are $8 and 3 and under eat free, dine-in only. Only 150 tickets will be sold. Call 412-741-9430 for tickets.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church

St. Paul’s Fall Soup Sale will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 5. Pints of clam chowder and broccoli cheese soup will be available for $6.
