Five people are running for three, four-year council seats in Glen Osborne, according to the Allegheny County Office of Elections unofficial candidate list.
Independent incumbent and current council president Tom Huddleston, along with independent incumbents Anne Fruehauf and William Monski, will try to hold their seats against Democratic challengers Joshua Marc Lambert and Michael Borreback.

The borough is blessed to have an outstanding council who manages the affairs of the community in a fiscally responsible manner. The deployment of our limited funds requires input beyond our council members. I will work to improve communication to the borough with the goal of getting more input from our residents.

What is the most pressing issue in Glen Osborne and how would you handle it on council?
Balancing residential growth in a borough of this size while preserving its beautiful green spaces and general livability. I am working to modernize the borough’s subdivision and zoning ordinances to protect the special quality of life we all enjoy here. I will continue to prioritize policies that improve the health and safety of current and future residents in the borough, working with council, neighbors and surrounding municipalities.

What is the most pressing issue in Glen Osborne and how would you handle it on council?
While Glen Osborne does not have the authority to restrict what passes through our community on the rails and roads, we do have the responsibility to react to any unforeseen events. Working with our neighboring communities, my goal is to develop a response plan that would include the possible evacuation of our residents stranded between the tracks and river as well as to safely evacuate our school students, elderly and disabled residents.
