Contract approved

Edgeworth officials recently approved a new police contract.

The five-year agreement is for 2024-2028. It includes a 5% raise the first year, 4% raises in years two and three and 3% raises in years for and five. Officers agreed to contribute 12% toward their medical insurance.

Borough manager John Schwend said he and councilman Ivan Hofmann worked with police representatives on the contract. Schwend called it a great contract for both parties and it will help retain and recruit top quality police officers in the future.

If a child visits all stations, they will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes.

Once the sports activities wrap up at 7:30, and after the prize and raffle winners our announced, stay around to watch a movie on the field.

Attendees will have the opportunity to walk the property and visit the site of the future Leo Moss Memorial soccer field, as well as learn about the other improvements coming to the park.

The concession stand will be open for dinner and serving lots of treats all evening.

When kids aren’t visiting our sports stations, they can play with Coach Dave Gray from CDG Sports, who will be hosting some of his favorite games. AHN Sports Medicine will be setup and running agility drills and endurance training. There will also be several raffles going on for your chance to win some great prizes.
