Construction continues
A construction project at Sewickley Public Library is ongoing. The general parking lot is closed except for two accessible spaces. Visitor and material drop-offs can be done at the rear of the library, 500 Thorn St.
The project began in early May. It is to replace part of the roof, 10 historic windows and the HVAC system. It is unclear when the work would be completed. The current phase focuses on the building’s air conditioning. There may be periodic early closures due to heat, particularly with in the children’s department.
Splash pad open
The splash pad at Henle Park in Leetsdale is open noon-6 p.m. daily through Labor Day. Hours can change without notice and the water will be off when inclement weather is expected. More information is available at leetsdaleboro.net.
No leaf pickup
Glen Osborne does not provide residential leaf pickup. Borough officials said residents are responsible for bagging their leaves and setting them out for weekly trash pickup. Residents can also hire their own lawn service or private contractor to remove their leaves. The borough only picks up leaves in borough right of ways. Contact borough secretary Diane Vierling at dvierling@sewickleyborough.org or call 412-741-3775 for more information.
Night Marts planned

The event will feature about 30 artisan vendors, 13 food trucks and tents, live entertainment and a local craft brew pop-up. Vendors include From the Grounds Up Coffee, Slurp-N-Burst Boba Tea, Uni Ramen Bar, Veggies N’At, Baxter and the Bear, Clementina, and Found Woodworks. The final Night Mart for the summer is Aug. 25.
