Sewickley resident receives ACE Award

Peter F. Schlicht, a financial advisor and vice president with Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC in Sewickley, has earned the 2021 Ameriprise Client Experience Award.

Award recipients earned an overall client satisfaction rating equal to or greater than 4.9 out of 5.0 and maintained stellar business results. The award represents an elite group of Ameriprise advisors recognized as leaders for their commitment to making a difference in the lives of their clients.

Schlicht is a 38-year resident of Sewickley. He serves on the board of directors for the Sweetwater Center for the Arts and the board of trustees and president of the Valley Care Association. Schlicht has also served as a member of Sewickley Borough council and the board of directors of the Sewickley YMCA.

Rummage sale

The United Methodist Women will host a Rummage Sale for Missions from 3-7 p.m. May 6 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 7 at the Sewickley United Methodist Church, 337 Broad St. Gently used household items, seasonal clothing, shoes, books, puzzles and much more will be available.

Enter using Door 10 from the driveway off Thorn Street.

Cinderella Ball

The 96th Annual Cinderella Ball will take place May 28 at Allegheny Country Club. This year’s beneficiary is the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. Ball chairs are Courtney Elizabeth Benson and Kelly Waldman.

Flea market

Little Hill United Methodist Church, 2350 Magee Road Ext., Sewickley/Franklin Park, will hold a Flea Market from noon to 7 p.m. on April 28-29 and a half-price and hoagie sale on April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Senior Men’s Club

An affiliate of the Sewickley Valley YMCA, the Senior Men’s Club will have Pennsylvania DEP’s Jim Miller on April 22 and Animal Rescue’s Katie Campbell on April 29 at the YMCA. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for an informal social gathering followed by the presentation at 10.

Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask. Nonvaccinated individuals are requested to wear a mask. For more information, visit smensclub.org.

Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection

The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a referral group of business professionals, will meet April 27 at the Eat’n Park on Route 60 in Robinson Township for breakfast from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Speakers will be Jenny Foster of Choice Background Checks and Jena Rosa of Cruise Planners.
