Meetings planned

Leetsdale council will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the borough building, 373 Beaver St.

Leet’s board of commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the township office, 194 Ambridge Ave.

Edgeworth’s zoning hearing board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the borough building, 301 Beaver Road.

Tools for teen wellness

Parents and teens (11+) are invited to a panel discussion on safeguarding your teen’s mental health and well-being at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center (The Tull Family Theater’s new moniker as of Jan. 1) on Jan. 12 from 7-9 p.m. A question and answer session with Youth Connect experts will follow. Local resource information will be available. This event is free and open to the community.

Library events planned

Sewickley Public Library will host a screening of the movie “Home Alone” at 1 p.m. Dec. 29 at 500 Thorn St. Popcorn will be provided. Registration is required.

The library hosts Sahaja Meditation from 11 a.m. to noon Dec. 31. Enjoy the silence, peace and stress release of this free weekly meditation program. No registration is required.

Sewickley Public Library will be closed Dec. 24 for Christmas Eve; Dec. 25-26 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.

Rotary scholarships

The Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Program has scholarships available for the 2022-23 academic year. In recent years, at least eight scholarships at $5,000 each have been awarded. High school seniors in Allegheny and Beaver Counties are eligible to apply. Vocational students, G.E.D students and those attending parochial, charter and private schools are also eligible.

Students must have a 2.5 or higher grade point average and also must complete an essay, which highlights their community/school service, as part of the application submission.

Business Connection

The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, a referral group of business professionals, will meet Jan. 4 at Eat’n Park on Route 60 in Robinson for breakfast from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. Speakers will be Brian Koeberle, Esq., and Bill Paviol of ADT Security Systems.
