Did Quaker Valley School District go to court for the right to not have to build an emergency access road? Any school should have an access road, and perhaps multiple. The judge that ruled in favor of QVSD said that no emergency personnel testified to the necessity of a road, but emergency personal and first responders said that they were not given the opportunity to testify. A new school is supposed to bring communities together, but QVSD have managed to turn this into a polarizing issue. A proposed new school is not something that should fought out in court. Has there been a survey taken to see how many people are for/against a new school? One poll that could be taken is a referendum. But though we were told one would take place, we have yet to have one. Is that because QVSD is fearing what the outcome might be? Wouldn’t QVSD want the backing of public support? Schools only exist with the support of the community. There are other districts to live in, other places to send your kids. Maybe a new school is best, but QVSD should end this process lest it divide the community further.
