Miss Teen International Alaina Barlock of Greentree visited Quaker Valley School District’s Osborne Elementary to kick off Kindness Week on Feb. 12.

The Bishop Canevin High School student read “Llama Llama and the Bully Goat” with second graders and talked about how important it is to be nice to people.

The visit was one of many anti-bullying initiatives at the Quaker Valley schools that week.

Edgeworth Elementary School had a kindness challenge and donation drive for the Beaver County Humane Society.

The amount of money raised was not available at press time.
