Quaker Valley School District closed Friday
The Quaker Valley School District will be closed Friday as municipalities continue to clean up after this week’s storms.
District officials made the closure announcement Thursday evening after consulting with Monark Transportation, Duquesne Light, and municipal officials.
“It was determined that there are still too many road closures, road impediments, and hazards throughout the district to allow our buses to sufficiently traverse it tomorrow,” according to an alert posted on the district’s website.
Friday will also not be a Flexible Instruction Day due to numerous power outages.
Officials said elementary students in grades K-5 do not have their devices at home to complete assignments, as they were kept at school to participate in state testing.
More information about district activities is available at qvsd.org.
