Roku available for checkout at Sewickley Public Library
Get your Netflix or Amazon Prime fix for free with a Roku Express checkout kit from the Sewickley Public Library.
“It’s great if you want to try it out or don’t have one or maybe just want to watch a movie,” said Richelle Klug, communications and social media librarian.
The free streaming content kit contains a Roku, Roku remote, power cable, adapter and HDMI cable.
It’s available for a seven-day checkout at the equipment library desk or can be reserved online.
Available viewing access is for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vudu Movie Collection, Roku Channel and PBS Kids.
Television and internet connection are not included.
Storytime
Mother Goose on the Loose, a free family storytime for children ages birth to 3 with their parent or caregiver, is planned for 10-10:30 a.m., 11-11:30 a.m. and 1-1:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the Sewickley Public Library, 500 Thorn St.

Tween Silly Spa
A Tween Silly Spa is set for Jan. 27 from 4-5 p.m. for students in grades 3 through 8. Spend a relaxing hour creating spa treatments, unwinding with sensory activities and refreshing spa snacks. Registration is required on the library’s website.
Library closed
Sewickley Public Library will be closed Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
