Antioch Baptist Church

Sunday school is every first Sunday of the month at 9:30 a.m.

Morning worship and praise service is weekly at 10:45 a.m.

Virtual Bible study is every first Wednesday at 7 p.m. The link is on the church’s website.

Beth Samuel Jewish Center

810 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. 412-266-5238. bethsamuel.org.

Beth Samuel Jewish Center offers weekly Shabbat services, family services once a month, and Kabbalat Shabbat services online once per month. There is also Religious School every Sunday.

First Friday: Family Service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by an Oneg in the social hall.

Shabbat Morning Services: Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a Kiddush in the social hall.

Kabbalat Shabbat Services: Usually on the third Friday of the month, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Contact the office for the link. This get-together frequently includes a visiting musician, cantor, rabbi or other noteworthy guest.

Christ Church at Grove Farm

Sunday Services are 9 a.m. (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (modern).

Community 619 is held Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the John Guest Ministry Center. It is a safe place to share the ups and downs of life alongside those who can understand the challenges, the struggles and the difficulties. For more information, visit ccgf.org/community619.

North Way Sewickley Valley

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-­registration.

Sewickley Presbyterian Church

Worship Services are held at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Education hour for all ages is at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

Club 345, the after-school club for kids in grades 3, 4 and 5, is now meeting on Fridays from 3:45-5:15 p.m. at the Faith House. Kids enjoy a snack, play games, and work on a mission project. All kids are welcome to attend. Registration is available on the church website.

Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays, and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also livestreamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members actively participate in various aspects of the liturgy.

Children and youth leaders will sponsor a Community Services Get-Together and Parents’ Night Out from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at the church. Children will eat pizza, play games and make valentines for homebound parishioners.

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held Jan. 28, after a special, joint 9 a.m. service. Rev. Robin Jarrell and the vestry will review highlights from the past year, outline the 2024 parish budget and hold elections for three new vestry members. All parishioners may attend.

This month’s Taize will take place at 5 p.m. Jan. 31, in the chapel. It’s a quiet, contemplative service that offers relief from the noise and hustle of modern life.

The parish has extended the Advent Initiative through Jan. 31 to support recent Haitian immigrants by collecting furniture, clothing, bedding, kitchen supplies and children’s toys and books. The goods will help with their resettlement in the Pittsburgh area. Cash donations are welcome as well. Details are available from the church office.

St. Brendan’s Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Feb. 5 to discuss “The Stationery Shop” by Marian Kamali, a 2019 novel set in 1953 Tehran.

Conversation classes for English as a Second Language adults are continuing. Two levels are being offered via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. New students are invited to participate and new volunteers are always welcome, no experience is necessary.

Morning Prayer is offered at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, via Zoom. Bible Study is held at 11 a.m. Tuesdays via Zoom. Contact the office for links.

St. Matthews AME Zion Church

Services at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.

A pancake breakfast will be held every Saturday morning in February from 8 a.m.-noon. Menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, grits and beverages. It is a free-will offering.

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church

Events and programming for all ages are beginning this month, including Gray Matter Roundtable, a group for those retired (or nearing retirement), “Rooted” small groups for adults, “Student Hour” Sunday mornings, and “DT” Sunday night for middles school and high school ages. Various community support groups are offered including GriefShare, Memory Loss Support for those suffering with memory loss and those caring for loved ones, and Side by Side — a group for single moms and their families.
