Sewickley Academy welcomed alumni, friends, family and current students to the annual alumni reunion weekend held Oct. 4-5.
The two-day event included a party at the Edgeworth Club, pickleball, a student showcase, an alumni Lacrosse game, tailgating activities, a varsity soccer game, campus tours and more.
Sewickley Academy alumni and 2024 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame inductee Reverend Dr. Christopher Leighton (‘68) was honored during an induction ceremony held in the Rea Auditorium on campus on Oct. 4. Leighton is the founding director of the Institute for Islamic, Christian and Jewish Studies in Baltimore.
An All-Alumni Gala was hosted on Oct. 4 at the Edgeworth Club.
Alumni Derek Chimner (‘04) chimed in on his favorite Sewickley Academy memory: “Winning the WPIAL championship in basketball,” he said.
