Grove City College student Mara Brak has been selected as one of the finalists for Elevator Pitch Competition, which ) provides student entrepreneurs an opportunity to “pitch” their ideas for a new commercial or social enterprise to judges in a two-stage contest. Each student has two minutes — about the time it takes to ride in an elevator with a deep-pocketed investor — to convince the judges that their ideas have merit and potential. Brak pitched an e-commerce marketplace catering to petite women.
Haven Joseph-Lyon, a junior music education major, played Musidorus in Slippery Rock University’s production of “Head Over Heels.”
A number of Quaker Valley High School students were recently inducted into the National Honor Society. NHS is a nationwide organization that recognizes high schoolers who meet high academic standards.
