Hair Peace Charities was started by iHeart Media personality Bonny Diver after she beat cancer 18 years ago. Her doctors asked her to start an organization to pay for wigs needed for women fighting cancer because insurance does not fill the need. Thousands have received funds in the region, with more than 400 calling last year.

“Even during covid, women wanted to regain something cancer took away. It’s important to not be a distraction when you are at work, school or around your kids,” Diver said. “Hair Peace is hair, prayer and care as we help with information to be an empowered patient and send cards of encouragement.”
