Beth Samuel Jewish Center meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom for Morning Shabbat services. First Friday Family Services take place at 5:45 p.m. on the first Friday of the month during the school year, accompanied by a congregational potluck. Kabbalat Shabbat services are held the third Friday of every month during the school year on Zoom.

DivorceCare helps you recover from the pain of separation and divorce. Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. DivorceCare meets Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Room.
GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. Each session includes a video, group discussion and a workbook to assist you on your journey. GriefShare meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in John Guest Ministry Center.

North Way Sewickley Valley

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-registration.
Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.
The United Women in Faith of the Sewickley United Methodist church will host a Sale for Missions from 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the church. Previously owned treasures, including household items, seasonal clothing, shoes, Christmas items, books, puzzles, and much more, will be available. Please enter through Door 10 from the Thorn Street driveway. All proceeds from the sale are used to fund local, national and international United Women in Faith mission projects.
St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays, and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also livestreamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members actively participate in various aspects of the liturgy.
Brendan’s Boots, the parish hiking group, will explore the waterfall trail at Fall Run Park in Glenshaw on Oct. 30, followed by lunch at Bonefish Grill in McCandless. Participants will meet at the church at 9 a.m.
The Modern Episcopalians group, which explores the history, faith and worship of the church, meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The group is reading and discussing the book “Welcome to the Episcopal Church” by Christopher L. Webber.
Conversation classes for English as a Second Language adults are underway. Two levels are being offered via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. New students are invited to participate and new volunteers are always welcome, no experience necessary.
The Fiber Crafting Club meets on the first Friday and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the library. Anyone interested in knitting, crocheting, embroidering or other handheld fiber arts is welcome.
Morning Prayer is offered at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, via Zoom. Bible Study is held at 11 a.m. Tuesdays via Zoom. Please contact the office for links.
St. Matthew’s AME Zion Church

St. Paul’s will host a roast beef dinner from noon to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The menu includes salad, roast beef, potatoes, green beans, applesauce, a beverage and dessert. Cost is $18 for adults and $9 for children.
